In the first match of the Spanish Football League, FC Barcelona lost to Atletico Madrid. A former player, all folks, scored, and the club had to do without its coach.
FC Barcelona, the leading football club with poor health, have now lost for the first time this season in the Spanish league without its suspended coach Ronald Coman. In the first match against champions Atletico Madrid, Barca conceded 0-2 (0-2) defeat on Saturday evening.
Thomas Lamer (23rd) and former Barca professional Luis Suarez (44th) scored for the hosts. Although the Commonwealth team is out of the international rankings again after three wins and three tracks, Atletico have joined the Real Madrid leaders for at least one night.
The coach looked out of the box
Koman, who saw red in a 0-0 draw at Cadiz FC after a dispute with a fourth official, had to watch Atletico’s lead from a box on the stand. Lemer refined Suarez’s prep after a superb inning, while former Bayern star Philippe Coutinho missed a quick response on the outside of the leg (27th).
Just before the 2: 0 break came the co-production of the Lemer / Suarez pair – this time in reverse order. German national goalkeeper Mark-Andre der Stegen has no chance again. In the second half, coach Diego Simeone’s team took the lead effectively, and Barca missed some of their good chances.
A few hours before the game, Barca’s club president Joan LaBorte backed Koman: “Regardless of today’s decision, Koman will be our coach,” LaBorde said in an interview with Spanish media.
The bigger club got off to a worse start in the Champions League than the departure of superstar Lionel Messi, who lost 3-0 to Bayern Munich and Benfica Lisbon.
