The developers of Crimson Desert Pearl Abyss have outlined several major changes coming to the game in the coming months, all of which address various community complaints that have been highlighted recently. Here's everything you need to know.

Crimson Desert developer Pearl Abyss has revealed several key changes coming to the game in the coming months. Each item will address the complaints of various communities. That has been highlighted recently.

Pearl Abyss blog posts feature actual mobs, including rematches with bosses, reconquering enemy territory, and difficulty settings.Pearl Abyss also sees upgrades for secondary characters Damian and Oongko to match the main playable character Kliff, new pets and mounts, new outfits, and major storage changes.

In the meantime, the UI and controls continue to improve, and the quality of remote views is improved.Perhaps the most important change is that you can hide what's on Cliff's back (finally!).

There's a lot to unpack here (all the details below), but let's start with the relock:

"Peace is short-lived. And the Darkness does not back down easily. The rest of the enemy are waiting for an opportunity to retake the freed areas. They continue to prove the strength of the Greymanes by resisting the armies that occupy those areas."

This is an upcoming schedule change, and as we reported this week, some players with hundreds of hours under their belts are starting to complain that the world has become peaceful because they basically killed all the enemies.

Difficult changes are also welcome. Here is the explanation:

“A difficulty setting feature will be added so that everyone - from new Greymanes to advanced ones - can enjoy the adventure at the level they deserve. You will be able to choose Easy, Normal and Hard difficulty.”

As mentioned, some players have asked for hard mode because they feel the updates make the game too easy. But now we know that we are also getting an easy mode, which should be good news for those who prefer an easy experience (Crimson Desert can be brutal in some places, especially with some bosses). It will be interesting to see how the game changes with each setting.

And this is really important: Damiane and Oongka's new abilities:

"We fully understand your feedback on the need for Damian and Ongka to have abilities comparable to "Force Palm" and "Axiom Force". To address this issue, both characters will gain new abilities equivalent to those abilities."

This is important because players have found that Damien and Onka have limited range compared to Cliff, and most games cannot be completed using just two characters because they do not have the same ability to solve puzzles.Hopefully, this change will make Damiane and Oongka real alternate choices.

Other quality-of-life improvements are also underway.Working from camp storage is a big part of the game, forcing you to take resources from your storage box and put them into your inventory whenever you need them.In addition, pets and new pets will be added.

Overall, this is good news for the Crimson Desert.I don't think I've ever seen a developer make such drastic improvements to a major AAA open-world single-player video game, and Pearl Abyss deserves credit for that. The pace of change in this game is truly remarkable and each week will leave you wondering what's coming next.Pearl Abyss said the changes described below will be implemented from April to June.

Changes coming to Crimson Desert April-June 2026:

◆ New content and features

We're preparing new challenges to keep challenging yourself on your Pywel journey.

■ Leader movement

The powerful bosses you encountered throughout the Crimson Desert are waiting to challenge you again. With boss rematches, you will have the opportunity to face any boss again, check how much you have grown and further refine your own fighting style with different strategies and approaches.

Peace is fleeting and darkness does not retreat so easily. The remnants of the enemy await their opportunity to retake the liberated lands.Lead the forces that have captured these lands once more and continue to test the strength of the Greymanes.

■ Difficulty settings

A difficulty setting feature will be added so that everyone – from new Greymanes to the most advanced – can enjoy the adventure at the level that suits them best. You will be able to choose between easy, normal and hard difficulty.

We're also working on new combat-focused content, so stay tuned.

◆ Personality Game Improvements

■ New skills for Damiane and Oongka

We fully understand your feedback that Damiane and Oongka need to have the same skills as "Force Palm" and "Axiom Force".To solve this problem, both characters will gain new abilities that are equivalent to those skills.

■ Hide the rear arms

A new option will be added to hide weapons on your character's back, so that some equipment placed on your back will not break during battle.

■ Adding new clothes:

New clothing colors will be added.

Also, some outfits that can be sold or donated will be updated so that they can be worn as well.

◆ Improving quality of life and quality of life

■ New specialized warehouse

- Food Storage: We are planning to add a new food storage, from where you can directly extract ingredients to use in cooking. When preparing meals, you can use ingredients from your food storage and inventory.

- Clothing: A new clothing inventory is added so you can store hats, clothes, gloves, shoes, and robes.

- Collectable Storage: Added a new collectable storage where you can immediately pick up items for use in tempering and crafting. This storage can hold a variety of crafting materials such as bugs, rocks, ores and more.

- Collection Save: A new collection save will be added, allowing you to save quest items related to your travels, including guides and other things you've collected during your travels.

■ Pets and vehicles

More mounts and new pets will be added. Also, in addition to the existing horse tack sets, special armor for other horse mounts is also planned.

◆ System and graphics improvements

■ Interface improvements

To improve accuracy, we will add a small option to adjust the font size.Since Crimson Desert supports 14 UI languages, it will take time to fully customize this feature in all of them, but we plan to launch it first to help make the game more comfortable to play.We also plan to continue improving various UI features and QoL features, including map, inventory, and habitat development.

■ Change of power

We're carefully reviewing your feedback on our controls. To provide a better gaming experience, we plan to add customization options for certain controller inputs. We're also expanding the range of configurable keyboard and mouse buttons to improve usability.

■ Improvements in Absit View Quality

We are working to improve the realism of distant backgrounds so you can enjoy Pywel's landscapes more deeply. Please note that the size of the patch may be slightly larger due to improvements in the way scenery changes far away and the quality of rendering under different conditions.Check out the image below for a preview of how Pywel will handle the update.
