After a problem was detected with Pokmon Go, the trade-in feature is currently not available.
The ability to trade Pokémon in Pokémon Go in Niantic has been temporarily disabled.
A bug was previously detected, preventing the feature from working as originally intended.
lucky pokemon galore
At around midnight, one user wrote redditHe just traded 100 Pokémon with a friend and they all turned into Lucky Pokémon.
Which of course would be a big plus, because the lucky Pokemon has at least at least good basic values and is easy to breed.
About an hour later, Niantic announced via the Niantic Support Twitter account that the trading system had been temporarily closed.
“Boss, swap is currently unavailable because we’re investigating an issue,” she said. “We’re sorry for the inconvenience and will update you here. Thank you for your patience.”
Trainers, trading is currently unavailable because we are investigating an issue. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, and we’ll continue to update here. Thank you for your patience.

There has been no update since then.
The problem appears to be related to the Lucky Friends feature. If a friend has the status of a lucky friend in the game, you are guaranteed to get a lucky Pokemon the next time you switch.
Normally, the status is canceled again after a successful trade, but that was not the case in this case, and the Pokemon that were subsequently traded all became Lucky Pokemon.
It is not currently known when the functionality will be available again. However, some fans are surprised by how quickly Niantic will react to issues that are discovered if players gain an advantage as a result.
