Will Lukas Podolski, 36, finally fulfill a big dream at the end of his career? After a year and a half in Antalyaspor, there are now many indications that Idol FC will still sign a contract in his home country.

The 36-year-old was born in Glivice and has been a fan of the club in Zabrze from an early age. “My big dream is to end my football career with Gornik at some point,” Podolski was quoted on his homepage: “Gornik Zabrze is my team in my Polish homeland. Every year when I visit my family in Upper Silesia, I like to stop and chat with my friends and acquaintances.”
Thus, those in charge of the 14-times Polish champion are in advanced talks with the world champion and are now waiting for an answer. Mexican club Queretaro and Brazil’s Fortaleza showed their interest. It is also said that offers have been made to Podolski from the Turkish and Qatari leagues.
