According to a media report, Audi is interested in British sports car maker McLaren. The British magazine “Autocar” reported on Monday, quoting informed sources, that Audi had made a bid to buy McLaren team boss Paul Walsh.
Bahrain, the majority owner of McLaren, rejected an initial offer and demanded a higher one. Meanwhile, the two sides reached an agreement, according to Otokar.
An Audi spokeswoman said no decision had been made. “As part of our strategic considerations, we are constantly working with different ideas for cooperation.” Automobilwoche had previously stated that the Volkswagen subsidiary was interested in McLaren.
