The series, co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace and based on the 11-episode Boomtown podcast from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly, is described as "an up/down story about mining and the wild billionaires who fueled a boom so vast it changed our climate, economy and geopolitics".

Paramount spokeswoman Kate Mann confirmed to USA Today that "Randleman" Season 2 will debut exclusively on Paramount+ on Sunday, Nov. 16, with new episodes airing every Sunday at midnight ET.
