Denmark qualified, Austria exited – Ronaldo continued to score

World Cup qualification is in their finals. More resolutions continue to be taken tirelessly – even on Tuesdays. Denmark have qualified as the next team and Austria should bury all World Cup dreams.

EM semi-final Denmark became the second team to buy tickets for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Coach Caspar Hullmond’s team advanced to the World Cup final for the second time in a row, celebrating their eighth zero victory in a 1-0 (0-0) victory over Austria. Previously, only Germany qualified for Qatar on a sporting basis.

Joachim Mehle (53.) scored in Copenhagen for the Dance Team, the only European team they have not yet scored. Youssef Paulson (RB Leipzig) was in the starting line-up as opposed to Jacob Brown Larson (TSG Hoffenheim).

However, for Austria, the last hope of a play-off spot failed because Scotland celebrated a 1-0 victory against the Faroe Islands shortly before the end. For coach Franco Foda, who is already under criticism, now things have to be tight.

Ronaldo extends goal record

Portugal football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has expanded his ideal goal for national teams – in the usual style. In his team’s 5-0 (3-0) victory in the World Cup qualifiers, CR7 scored twice from the penalty spot (8th, 13th) against a barely backward Luxembourg team and his three-pack was perfect with a header from close range (87th).

The scorer has now scored 115 international goals in 182 games. It was only on Saturday that Ronaldo became Europe’s record international and surpassed Sergio Ramos (Spain). Luxembourg seems to be Ronaldo’s favorite opponent: the 36-year-old has never met any other country in his international career (9). With this victory, the Portuguese have at least finished second in the play-offs to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

England draw only – riot at stands

England missed the opening leg of the World Cup in Qatar. The European runner-up did not score more than 1: 1 (1: 1) against Hungary at Wembley Stadium in London. The game was covered up by Hungarian thugs and police shortly after the riots at the stands began.

The guests took the lead through a penalty kick by Roland Salloy (24th) from Freiburg, while Manchester City defender John Stones (37th) equalized in the first half. A high percentage possession, but with some great chances, ran into the Three Lions episode, but no longer embarrassed RB keeper Peter Gulachi.

England are top of Group I with 15 points, thanks to a draw, with Hungary now remaining with a play-off chance of eleven points.

The London Police took special security precautions in advance to prevent problems with bad Hungarian fans – in vain. Before the start, guest supporters cheered as the England national team fell to its knees and presented a banner in protest. During the first match in September, Hungarian fans were outraged when English players were racially insulted.

Sweden and Switzerland win

Sweden increased pressure on Spain, as did Italy, France and Belgium, which did not play in the World Cup qualifiers as a Nations League semi-final. The Scandinavians won 2-0 (0-0) against Greece and are now two points ahead of Spain. Leipzig’s met Emil Forsberg (59th / false sentence) and former Dortmund ‘Alexander Isaac (69th).

After their 4-0 (3-0) win over Lithuania in Group C, Switzerland are tied with European champions Italy. With Northern Ireland 1: 2 (1: 0) in Bulgaria, both have minimal playoff participation and are still playing for team success. The goals at Vilnius were scored by the Coldbach Priel Embolo double (31st / 44th), Renato Stefan (42nd) and Mario Gavranovic (90th +4).
