Without Joel Embiid! Philadelphia 76ers advance to the conference semi-finals with Center Ben Simmons

Philadelphia 76ers in the conference semi-finals. Even without Joel Embiid, the Eastern Conference top seed defeated the Washington Wizards by 129:112, and Tobias Harris and Seth Curry in particular entered the quarterback.

Philadelphia 76ers (1) – Washington Wizards (8) 129: 112 (BOXSCORE) – Serie A: 4-1

Curry was the Sixers’ top scorer with 30 points (10/17 FG), and Harris had 28 and 8 rebounds. Ben Simmons (19, 7/11, 10 rebounds, 11 assists) set up a hat-trick, and Sixers coach Doc Rivers also got plenty of production out of the bank, specifically by Dwight Howard (12, 8/10 ft., 8 rebounds, 3 Blocks), Furkan Korkmaz (10) and Teresi Maxi (13, 6 blocks).

On the other hand, Washington was heavily dependent on Russell Westbrook (24, 7/20 FG, 8 rebounds, 10 assists) and Bradley Beal (32, 10/23), in addition to only two superstars Roy Hatchimura (21) to record double-digits. Isaac Bonga has been used in the last 100 seconds – without any numbers in the box.

Without Joel Embiid (meniscus), Rivers didn’t make Dwight Howard in the starting lineup, instead Matisse Thieball got the confidence, and Simmons moved up to center position. However, this also caused problems, among other things, the shot stopper was missing under the basket. Guests took advantage of this early on, and Westbrook met his players.

The Wizards were given a little lull, only 9-2 by the Sixers in the final three minutes of the first quarter, as Howard and Maxey managed to shine, and the match tied (29:29). The rookie gained more playing time, but the magicians were the better team. Philadelphia was fortunate that the guests were unable to withdraw, mainly due to losing ten balls in the first half.
