George Clooney appears to be slamming Quentin Tarantino for making "cruel" comments about other actors.

George Clooney has launched a sly attack on Quentin Tarantino, backing three actors the director has previously insulted.

During his speech at the AARP Adult Film Awards on Saturday, January 10, Clooney, 64, responded to the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood director's negative comments without naming them directly.

"Paul Dano, Owen Wilson and Matthew Lillard, by the way, it would be an honor to work with those actors. An honor," Clooney told Variety.

He added that the film for which he received an award, Jay Kelly, "was made by people who love actors - that's an important part. People I've known most of my life... actually most of them are actors. I relate to them a lot and I don't like it when people are cruel."

Clooney noted that "we live in cruel times" and urged the audience not to add to that.

Tarantino has previously called Danno "the King's weakest actor at SAG," complained that he "can't stand" Wilson and also said he neglected Lillard during an appearance on the Brett Easton Ellis podcast in December.

Days later, Lillard responded to Tarantino's statement at the convention, admitting that negativity "hurts your feelings" and is an "upsetting thing," before revealing that Tarantino doesn't speak to "top-line" actors like Tom Cruise, Us Weekly reported.

This isn't the first time Clooney has had a public spat with Tarantino.Speaking to Deadline in July 2023, the Inglorious Basterds director criticized Clooney for not engaging audiences "in this millennium."

In an August 2024 interview with GQ, the Ticket to Paradise star responded.

"And then he said something like, 'Name me the Millennium Movie.'And I was like, 'From the millennium? It's my king career," Clooney added. "Now I'm fine, man, fine.He didn't give it to me.He didn't give it to me.
