Jaxson Dart was burning the Bears before leaving Sunday's game.

New York Giants rookie quarterback Jackson Dart was on track to lead the team to an upset victory over the Chicago Bears.Thanks to two rushing touchdowns, Dart led the Giants by seven points early in the fourth quarter.Then disaster struck.
Dart had to leave the game in the final quarter after suffering a call on a designated quarterback run.

The flare appears to be a wave for the Bears and Halep Williams.At that point, the Bears' offense looked lifeless in the red zone and wasn't converting positive drives into points.Williams started the wrong way all day and played within structure too often.When Williams is strong and able to pass accurately, his receivers drop the ball.
But after the change, something happened for Chicago.
After recovering from that fumble, the Bears went on an eight-play drive that ended in a field goal.Dart originally came out to start the Giants' next offensive drive, but left the game after two plays to be evaluated.Dart was taken to the blue medical tent on the sideline before heading to the locker room.
He was eventually ruled out of the competition with a concussion.When Dart left the game, the Giants were leading 17-10.

With Dart unable to play, veteran Russell Wilson stepped in for the Giants and took important snaps for the first time in Week 3. He immediately led the team in scoring, and the Giants mostly ran the Bears.
With the Bears in comeback position, Williams — just as he did in Week 9 — reached the game.The Bears answered the field goal with a touchdown, cutting the Giants to three.While Wilson and the Giants were able to put the game away on the next drive, Wilson fumbled twice.The Giants managed to get angry with 2:53 to play.

The punt attempt was dropped and the field goal was awarded for three points.Williams answered the call, drove down the field and scored on a 1-yard rush to put the Pearls up 24-20 with 1:47 left.

Wilson's time was too much.The veteran couldn't do it.He went 1 of 5, on the last drive for zero yards.The Champions made a fourth down, fumbled and lost the game 24-20.
Jaxson Dart was charming before his injury
Thanks to the injury, the Giants wondered what he had in the game.In the middle of another walk.Before leaving the game, he completed 19 of 29 attempts in 242 years.Dart also added 66 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
If Dart had to miss any more time, it would be devastating for the Giants.He has added a spark to the Giants' offense since taking over as the team's starter.Although Dart was just 2-4 heading into Sunday's game, he also had 10 touchdowns against just three interceptions early in the contest.The team was losing games, but he wasn't the problem.
There was perhaps no better example of that than week 10. With the CARTs, the Giants were put on the road in Chicago.During the bear test Wilson can't do that.The Dart would have collided with a better shot group.
Credit, of course, goes to Williams and the Bears, who have now proven they have the physical and mental ability to win close games in the fourth quarter.This team -- or not Williams -- showed it last season.
With the win, the Bears are now 6-3 and surprisingly in the hunt for the NFC North lead in Week 11. It looked tough at times, but Chicago always found a way to win.If the team can overcome its early struggles, the Bears could be a real threat in Ben Johnson's first season as head coach.
Otherwise, the team will need Williams to continue playing the hero in the fourth quarter.It's a recipe that has worked well for Chicago this season, but the Bears know from experience that relying on fourth-quarter comebacks is a dangerous way to live.
