Leverkusen, November 9, 2021. Rodrigo Santos (48 years old) will become a member of the Board of Directors of Bayer AG and the new head of the Department of Crop Sciences on January 1, 2022. Santos has been Chief Operating Officer of Bayer’s Crop Science Division since June 2021. After acquiring Monsanto in 2018, he led the Crop Science business in Latin America. Santos is a Brazilian national and has worked for the company in Brazil, the United States and Eastern Europe for over 23 years, primarily in the areas of sales, marketing, strategy and business development. Santos holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from Escola Superior de Agriturismo Luiz de Queiroz ?? ESALQ/USP and MBA from FGV/Ohio University.
