Oppo today unveiled the Reno8 series. But also on stage there was a new tablet and a pair of wireless earbuds. The Oppo Pad Air is the second Android tablet from the manufacturer and it comes with a 10-inch LCD screen, a Snapdragon 680 chipset, and a 7,100mAh battery. The Enco R is a budget pair of wireless earbuds with 13.4mm tweeters and 24 hours of built-in battery life.
Oppo iPad Air
The Oppo Pad Air is based on a 10.36-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The tablet comes with four speakers with Dolby Atmos technology and weighs only 440 grams. An 8-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera are installed.
The tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s relatively new Snapdragon 680 chipset. There is also 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage that can be expanded via microSD. Unfortunately, there is no version of Pad Air with mobile connections. ColorOS for Pad based on Android 12 covers the software side and charges the tablet’s 7,100mAh battery with a maximum of 18W.
The Oppo Pad Air is available in Star Silver and Fog Gray colours. The base 4/64GB model starts at CNY 1,299 ($179) while the top 6/128GB model starts at CNY 1,299 ($249). Oppo offers many accessories including keyboard cover and stylus. The open sale starts in China on the 1st of June.
OPPO Enco R.
The Enco R is an affordable pair of wireless earbuds with 13.4mm tweeters and support for AAC and SBC codecs. There is AI noise cancellation for calls, but no ANC. Each earphone weighs only 3.5g, while Oppo states a playtime of up to 4 hours. Including the charging case, another 20 hours is possible.
The speakers connect via Bluetooth 5.2 and are IPX4 certified. Charging via USB-C. Oppo Enco R will retail for CNY 299. In China, sales will also begin on June 1.
