Increase in infections and hospitalizations in critical care

Hospitals have identified 2,073 patients with COVID-19, including 1,694 new admissions.

The number of Covid-19 cases is up more on a rolling average basis over the course of a week, and the number of people admitted to critical care with coronavirus is on the rise, according to the Figures released on Monday by health authorities.

And laboratories recorded 29,455 cases of contamination, an increase of about 5,000 from last Monday (24,179). The seven-day rolling average is 128,241, compared to 127,488 the previous day and 89,763 the previous Monday.

149 additional deaths

The situation in hospitals is slightly deteriorating with regard to critical care admissions (174 vs 124 a week ago). On the other hand, the total number of people infected with Covid virus in critical care is decreasing compared to last week (1533 vs 1632).

Hospitals list 21,073 patients with COVID-19 (20,706 last Monday), including 1,694 new admissions (vs. 1401).

In the past 24 hours, 149 deaths were recorded in the hospital (162 seven days ago). A total of 141,821 people have died of Covid in France since the start of the epidemic.

In terms of vaccination, a total of 54.25 million people received at least one injection (80.5% of the total population), 53.34 received a full vaccination schedule (79.1%) and 39.49 million received a booster dose.
