He was one of the greats on German television: Thomas Fritz. Popular magazine “Pandey” reports that the actor and voice actor has died at the age of 77. Fritz’s close confidante actress Anja Hoptman has confirmed her death.
He lived in a retired home
He told the popular newspaper: “Thomas fell asleep quietly at 8 this morning.” On Wednesday, the German newspaper learned from the surrounding area that he had “slept peacefully”. The cause of death is not yet known. Most recently, Fritz is said to have lived in a retirement home.
Successful actor and voice actor
Fritz became famous for his roles in movies and series such as “Revoln der Renbn”, “Derrick”, “Der Alt” or “Der Berktoktor”. He has also appeared in productions such as “Rosamunde Pilcher” or “Die Rosenheim-Cops”. In 2018 he worked on the movie “Jim Button and Look The Engine Driver”. In early 1996, he starred in the film adaptation of “Jim Knob”.
In addition, Fritz was very successful as a voice actor. He was the German voice of Hollywood stars such as Russell Grove (for example in films such as “Gladiator” or “Master and Commander”) and Jeremy Irons (most recently “Justice League”).
