Albemarle County Schools announced they will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE NOW) - Snow that fell Saturday night turned to a mix of rain and cold Sunday morning in the Charlottesville and Albemarle County area, and is expected to continue into the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.Local areas saw 3 to 5 inches of snow.
As of 6 a.m. Sunday, Virginia State Police responded to 177 accidents related to the winter storm, including 14 injuries.
