The Tigers faithful greeted their head coach with a "Pierre Kelly" chant in the first quarter at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as LSU trailed 14-7 early against No. 3 Texas A&M.

The "Fire Kelly" chants grew louder and louder, especially in the fourth quarter, when Texas A&M went on a 35-0 run in the second half to cut LSU's deficit to 49-18.The Tigers scored a late touchdown to make it 49-25.
