List of 2026 National Society of Film Critics Winners

A National Society of From Crime Crimes selects the best in the films of 2025.

One War After Another was named best picture by the National Association of Film Critics in a category of 60.

In addition to Best Picture, One Battle After Another won Paul Thomas Anderson's Best Director;Best Supporting Actor went to Benicio Del Toro;and Teyana Taylor won Best Supporting Actress.Best Actor went to Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon and Leonardo DiCaprio for his lead role in One Battle After Another.

Popular horror film Sinners earned Autumn Durald Arkapaw the cinematography award, while Cannes 2025 Palme d'Or winner It Was Just a Disaster earned Jafar Panahi the best screenplay award.He also directed and produced the film.

Founded in 1966, the organization consists of more than 60 critics from leading news outlets across the country, including The Hollywood Reporter.The annual poll falls into categories such as best film, director, lead actor, actress, supporting actor and actress, screenplay and cinematography.

The election is conducted by a weighted voting system.In the first ballot, members vote on their top three choices, with the first choice receiving three points, the second receiving two points, and the third receiving one.The candidate who receives the most points and appears in the most votes wins.If no winner is declared in the first ballot, the group will proceed to a second ballot, and voting will continue until a candidate receives the highest score and receives the most votes.

Last year, Nickel Boys won Best Picture, with Hard Truths, A Real Pain and All We Imagine as Light each winning two.
