Williams announces his candidacy
The bestselling author wants to compete with Biden

The current US president is likely to throw his hat into the ring for the sake of the upcoming elections. Now the first Democrat to announce her candidacy for the party against Biden: Marian Williamson, a 70-year-old writer who publishes self-help books.

US President Joe Biden has his first internal rival in the party if he runs for the White House again. 70-year-old author Marian Williamson has officially announced her candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination.

“As of today, I am a candidate for President of the United States,” she said at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. “People in power don’t have any ready-made solutions or don’t really support solutions,” she said in the speech.

On the other hand, people with solutions will have no power. This must be changed. Your chances are almost hopeless. The best-selling author of self-help books wanted to be in the Democratic White House early in 2020. But she dropped out of the race before the party primaries due to poor poll numbers.

Trump is running Republican again

There has been speculation in recent weeks that Williamson might want to run again for the Democratic nomination. In an interview last week, the bestselling author confirmed her intention to run. In the past she had also applied for other political office as an independent.

US President Biden has not yet officially announced his intention to run again in the 2024 presidential election. However, the 80-year-old Democrat has stated his public intention in the past. He is expected to throw his hat in the ring soon. Then he shouldn’t have any major competition within his own party.

Biden is currently saddled with something related to classified documents from his time as vice president, which were recently found in his private rooms. The Ministry of Justice has appointed a special prosecutor for this purpose. Former President Donald Trump and former US Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, have so far filed applications to run for the presidency on behalf of the Republicans.
