Sirens were already sounding in several cities on the border with the Gaza Strip. Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip fired several rockets into Israeli territory. An attack on Islamic Jihad targets
The Israeli Air Force had earlier attacked several targets of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian security sources said that military installations and Jihad facilities were bombed. According to hospital reports, at least one Palestinian was killed.
The Israeli Air Force killed three senior members of the Islamic Jihad movement on Tuesday night. A total of 13 people were killed in the Israeli airstrikes on the coastal strip, among them many women and children. Also, two members of a Palestinian armed group were killed in an Israeli attack on a car in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday. According to the military, they were said to have transported anti-tank guided missiles.
