University of Nevada at Reno seeks organizational resilience manager

The University of Nevada (UNV) at Reno announced Thursday they have an opening for a manager of organizational resilience.

The manager is tasked with the implementation, development and revision of comprehensive, statewide emergency management and organizational resilience plans for the campus and its associated facilities, including satellite campuses, leased buildings, farms and medical facilities. This position is expected to be able to manage and maintain partnerships with departments within the university, community and state partners.

The manager will also take part in training, education, exercise facilitation and other areas. This position serves as a part of the Crisis Action Team and will play a key role in preparing the university community to fulfill its academic and research responsibilities should services become jeopardized.

This position requires a bachelor's degree with at least four years of working experience in an area relating to response, emergency management, continuity planning and working in critical incident and crisis management capacities. A master's degree can take the place of two years of working experience.

Candidates must also be able to obtain a valid driver's license from the state of Nevada. Those with Emergency Manager Certification from the International Association of Emergency Mangers or similar certification will be given preference.
