Karl Nell appointed VP of ENSCO's National Security Solutions Division
Nell comes to ENSCO with 25 years of experience within technology and leadership fields. He has worked with Lockheed Martin and Bell Telephones, among other highly technological companies. He also serves as a U.S. Army Reserves officer after serving in an active duty capacity. Most recently, he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Planning.
“Karl Nell brings to ENSCO a unique blend of technology leadership, executive management, business acumen and program execution, coupled with diverse experience across the national security field," Boris Nejikovsky, president of ENSCO, said. “We look forward to working with him as he charts a course to move the division forward, providing new exciting opportunities for the company.”
Nell holds master's degrees in strategic studies, mechanical engineering and a master's certificate in computer science engineering from the U.S. Army War College, Boston University and the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology, respectively.
The division that he will be leading involves a multi-disciplinary approach to the challenges facing the development of sensors and other detection technology for a number of areas including chemistry, biology, software applications and geophysics.
