Saskatchewan to hire assistant deputy minister for public safety

Saskatchewan's Ministry of Government Relations is looking to hire an assistant deputy minister of public safety and corporate services.

The person hired will provide leadership and direction to the emergency management and fire safety services in the Canadian province. They will also give direction to the ministry’s Corporate Services Division.     

The position calls for a visionary, experienced leader who is results-oriented. The minister will influence, partner and guide the delivery of public safety programs, as well as direct complex financial, budget and strategic planning processes.

Candidates should have extensive senior management and leadership experience and a proven record of working effectively for and with senior decision makers. Experience building and sustaining effective relationships with internal and external partners is essential.

The candidate should also have demonstrated success in leading change while creating a culture of innovation, accountability and excellence. A criminal record check is a condition of employment.

The monthly salary ranges from $9,429 to $12,259. The job posting closes on Sept. 27.
