Porsche Tequipment offers Manthey’s performance kit for the current 911 GT3 for better performance on the circuits. The 375 kW (510 hp) 911 GT3 with a Manthee performance package took the Nordschleife at the Nürburgring in 6:55.737 minutes. This makes it exactly 4.19 seconds faster than the 911 GT3 without the kit. Above all, the aerodynamic and chassis components have been modified. The new Performance Kit was developed in close collaboration between Porsche engineers in Weissach and Manthey Nordschleife specialists in Meuspath. Porsche Equipment components, optimized for track use, are sold through Porsche Centres.
Significantly increased contact pressure
The Manthey performance lineup for the 911 GT3 can be recognized by the extensive changes to the aerodynamically efficient additional parts. A larger front lip and sidewalls are installed in the front. Combined with modified air deflectors on the bottom of the chassis, these increase downforce on the front axle. The modifications in the back area are more noticeable. The 911 GT3 wing with wider gooseneck suspension now has a lip spoiler (stretcher). The end panels bearing the distinctive Manthey logo have been increased as well as the angle of attack of the wing. The fins of the rear diffuser have been lengthened and are now made of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic. The wheel (aerodynamic) covers on the rear wheels, also made of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic, improve aerodynamic efficiency.
Adjustable coilover suspension
Together with Manthe, Porsche has developed a special four-way suspension for the 911 GT3 that can be adapted for track use. The spring struts are adjustable in four directions, and the rebound and compression can be adjusted without tools. Moderately revised spring rates (plus ten percent on the front axle, and seven percent on the rear axle) improve handling in the curb area without having to make any compromises in everyday use. A combination of lightweight forged wheels with 20- and 21-inch rims is optional for the Porsche 911 GT3. These non-suspended masses reduce a total of 7.3 kg. It is available in glossy silver, dark silver, neodymium and black (satin). The kit comes standard with a steel braided brake line assembly. This ensures a very precise pressure point and therefore optimal brake control. Racing-specific brake pads are optional for the Porsche GT3 with the Manthee Performance Kit. Door displays and illuminated door sills featuring the Manthey logo contribute to visual personalization. The pull ring is also part of the kit.
Great time at the Nürburgring
At the Nürburgring Nordschleife, Porsche’s sports car test lab, the 911 GT3 with the Manthee performance package can play its full blow. With Porsche driver Kevin Esther at the wheel, the revised GT athlete cut the Eifel’s 20.8 km lap in 6:55.737 minutes – 4.19 seconds faster than the standard 911 GT3 the previous year. Both cars are equipped with optional Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. The course time is certified by a notary who is on the site. The Manthey Performance Kit from Porsche Tequipment can now be ordered from customers in Europe starting at €37,911 plus country-specific sales tax at Porsche Centres. Deliveries will begin in the fall of 2022. Other markets will follow. The factory warranty for the 911 GT3 remains the same.
