According to media reports, the FBI searched President Biden’s Washington offices in November. Until now it was only known that investigators searched his private home in Delaware.

The FBI appears to have searched a former office of US President Joe Biden in Washington in November. This was reported by several US media outlets, including broadcasters CBS, CNN, and Fox News. Accordingly, investigators searched the rooms at the Ben Biden Center after Biden staffers found classified documents there in early November. The documents are classified from Biden’s time as vice president.

It added that it was not clear whether additional documents were discovered during the FBI search. The search was conducted in collaboration with the Biden team, and no search warrant was requested.

So far only known research in January

In the past few weeks, classified documents have repeatedly surfaced in Biden’s private rooms – the first tranche was discovered in a locked safe on November 2 – shortly before the US congressional elections. Subsequently, secret documents also appeared in his private home and garage in Wilmington, Delaware. In January, the FBI searched Biden’s home.

It was not previously known that investigators had searched the office in Washington before.

Biden has been criticized for his lack of education

In this case, new details appear constantly. So Biden and the White House are being criticized. The White House asserts that Biden’s lawyers notified the National Archives immediately after the first discovery. However, the public only found out in January when CBS reported on it. In response to the initial discovery, Biden’s staff looked elsewhere.

The Special Counsel investigates the accidents

Attorney General Merrick Garland has now appointed a special prosecutor to investigate the incidents. For the president, the information disclosed is highly sensitive politically, because classified government documents are not allowed to be stored privately after leaving office. The National Archives is responsible for it in the USA.

Secret documents were also found on his predecessor, Donald Trump, for which Biden criticized him.
