Commanders HC Dan Quinn Discusses Potential QB Options in 2024 NFL Draft

The Washington Commanders are gearing up for April’s draft with the help of newly appointed General Manager Adam Peters. However, uncertainty looms over the No. 1 overall pick after the Chicago Bears traded Justin Fields, shaking up the draft board.

Amidst the speculation, USC’s Caleb Williams is rumored to be the front-runner for the coveted top pick. Nevertheless, Washington is considering other options, including LSU QB Jayden Daniels and North Carolina’s Drake Maye.

Peters has been proactive in shaping the team’s roster, making several key moves in free agency. The additions of Marcus Mariota, Austin Ekeler, Zach Ertz, Bobby Wagner, and Jeremy Chinn have bolstered Washington’s lineup. With Sam Howell traded to Seattle, Mariota and Jake Fromm currently make up the QB room for Washington.

In a strategic move, Peters is open to trading the No. 2 pick in the draft if the right opportunity arises. Alongside head coach Ron Rivera, Peters is diligently evaluating their options and entertaining offers from interested teams.

As the draft process unfolds, Washington is diligently finalizing their decisions to ensure they make the most out of their picks. With the draft rapidly approaching, all eyes are on the Commanders as they prepare to shape their future roster. Stay tuned for more updates as the draft day draws near on Bio Prep Watch.
