BIG Arbeitsschutz GmbH: protects the wearer and the environment

In keeping with the spring and the increasing hours of sunshine, BIG Arbeitsschutz is expanding its 4PROTECT product range in the field of protective workwear. All newly produced UV protection shirts are now made of eco-friendly polyester.

4 PROTECT clothing reliably protects the wearer from dangerous solar radiation when working outdoors, for example on road construction, on runways or on construction sites. The UV protection shirts are available as workwear in fluorescent yellow, fluorescent orange, classic navy, gray and black. What’s new now is that MIAMI, ORLANDO, and JACKSONVILLE jerseys are also made with recycled polyester. However, this only applies to newly produced UV protection T-shirts. Goods already for sale may still contain conventional polyester during the changeover if they are of the same quality. All of the shirts, the classics as well as the high-visibility versions, are UVA-certified with UPF 50+ protection.

“With our 4PROTECT UV protection shirts, we take into account the fact that suspected melanoma is an occupational disease that must be taken seriously and recognized by the professional association, and is increasing among professionals who often work,” says Heiko Müller, Brand Director. Outdoors. At the same time, in addition to this protective function, the new workwear also impresses in everyday life with its functionality and optimal wearing comfort.

Soft tissue thanks to the special fibers

TENCEL’s natural Lyocell fibers make the fabric soft as silk, cools at high temperatures and heats up at low temperatures. TENCEL can also absorb 50 percent more moisture than cotton. This makes the clothes comfortable to wear, as the skin remains dry even when sweating profusely. Moreover, the fibers prevent odor and are dermatologically tested and suitable for allergy sufferers. In terms of design, you can choose between a long-sleeved shirt, polo shirt, or T-shirt.

Lyocell fibers are made from sustainably sourced wood. The material is also OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. This means that all components of textile products have been tested for harmful substances and therefore this material is not harmful to health. Depending on the manufacturer, the values specified for STANDARD 100 often exceed national and international specifications.
