American Express is appropriately expanding its lounge offerings and thus is also expanding its partnership with Lufthansa. With an American Express Platinum or Centurion Card, you can now access all Lufthansa Business Class lounges (at least we didn’t find an exception) if you booked a Lufthansa, Switzerland or Austria flight on the same day. With the appropriate Business Class and Amex ticket, you can even visit the Senator Lounge.
So far, you can only visit select Lufthansa lounges at Frankfurt/Main Airport and Munich with your American Express Platinum & Centurion Card. However, these were all in a non-Schengen area or in a satellite station. The fact that the cooperation is now extended to all lounges is a great added value, especially for German American Express Platinum card holders.
The halls already exist Amex Loungefinder It is already stored in the Amex app. We have already stored it in our global map:
Only Lufthansa lounges in the new Berlin-Brandenburg Airport, Athens and Delhi are currently missing in the app and in the lounge finder. But that can also be a technical issue.
Unfortunately, the partnership affects Lufthansa lounges. Swiss or Austrian lounges are not accessible with the American Express Platinum Card and the Centurion Card.
American Express also announced that it will redesign the Centurion International Lounges, which can also be accessed with the American Express Platinum Card, further adapting the design and furnishings of the Centurion American Lounges. This applies to Centurion stores in Mexico, Australia, Brazil, Argentina and India.
Escape lounges in the US will also be upgraded with regard to choice of drinks, snacks and title Centurion Studio Partner Receipt.
