Nestlé warns that a counterfeit product is also currently being circulated in Germany. It is about instant coffee. CAUTION: The wrong product can be contaminated with shards of glass and plastic.
Cologne. Warning, there is a risk here: Nestlé is currently warning against counterfeiting Nescafé Gold soluble coffee.
Fake product may contain broken glass and plastic. But how do you recognize fake coffee without trying it and at worst, hurt yourself? Nestle says: The packaging looks like an old version of Nescafe Gold.
“In the form of a counterfeit product, it was not available in stores,” the company said. Plus, the shape of the glass hasn’t been used in Nescafe Gold for years.

The company advises: “The counterfeit product is not manufactured or distributed by the NestlĂ© Company.”
It was sold in weekly markets and convenience stores. Nestlé has already contacted the relevant authorities asking them to investigate and stop this criminal activity.
It is important for consumers to distinguish fake goods from real goods using these criteria:
- subordinate EAN code for a counterfeit is 405500210900
- The batch number is 60820814B1 9:15 with extension Best ahead of time (preferably before) 10-21

A Nestlé statement read: “We are shocked by the criminal activity and strongly condemn the fact that our trademark has been counterfeited and illegally marketed. The quality and safety of our products is our top priority.”
Until now, it is not known who is behind the dangerous counterfeit. Anyone who discovers the coffee in question should not drink it under any circumstances. Glass and plastic shards can seriously injure you. (metric tons)
