Next away victory: FC St. Pauli advanced in the second Bundesliga after falling behind against FC Heidenheim. With Ingolstadt scoring against Kiel and losing Erzgebirge Aue at Karlsruher SC, the Saxons took over the unpopular Red Lantern.

1. FC Heidenheim – FC St. Pauli 2:4 (1:0)

With another away win, FC St. Pauli consolidated its lead in the second German Bundesliga. Hamburg triumphed after falling behind in 1. FC Heidenheim 4: 2 (0: 1).

St. Pauli turned the game within five minutes in the second half with three goals from striker Guido Burgstaller (55/60) and Max Dettgen (56). From the guests’ point of view, Dettgen (81) finished the match as well. Tobias Mohr (fourth) had Heidenheim’s team take the lead early on, and Tim Kleindienst (85) managed a 2:4. Austrian Burgstaller increased his season’s tally to nine.

FC Ingolstadt 04 – Holstein Kiel 1:1 (0:1)

Rote Laterne was able to hand the rookie club Ingolstadt to Erzgebirge Aue with a 1:1 (0:1) against Holstein Kiel. Cale couldn’t break away from the end of the table with a point. New FCI coach Andre Schubert, who had been working as a coach at Kiel, was able to score in the premiere at home and lead his nationals to the penultimate position in the table with five points. Karlsruer SC – FC Erzgeberg Uyo 2:1 (0:0)

On the other hand, KSC club reduced the difference to the promotion zone to three points after two previous matches without any success with two goals from Fabian Schleusner (46) and Philipp Hoffmann (67). Karlsruhe goalkeeper Marius Gerbeek saw the red card after the emergency brake (80th). Anthony Parilla (83.) scored the next goal for Ui. Austrian Benedict Bechler (13) headed Keelers in front, and Stefan Kochki (46) managed to equalize.
