ICI signs agreement with ICCSS

The International CBRNE Institute announced on Monday that it signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Centre for Chemical Safety and Security.

The agreement, signed on March 5, governs the relevant procedures for cooperation between the ICI and the ICCSS. The memorandum of understanding specifies that the two institutions will deliver services in the areas of CBRNE and chemical safety and security. They will jointly participate in relevant CBRNE exhibitions that were identified as being of interest to them.

The memorandum is meant to assist the ICI and ICCSS in developing effective solutions in the areas of prevention of, preparedness for and response to the misuse of CBRNE agents and materials. The agreement also serves as a recognition of the mutual interest in the fields of research, education and training related to CBRNE and chemical safety and security.

The ICCSS is based in Poland and provides training in chemical safety and security. The institution is committed to supporting the development of national and international networks of chemical safety and security officers in relevant international organizations.

The ICI was established in Belgium in 2002 through a partnership between the directors of Hotzone Solutions Group and the municipality of Les Bons Villers, Belgium. The independent, international non-profit organization seeks to enhance CBRNE risk mitigation at the regional, national and international levels.
