Anthrax hoax hits reality t.v.

Bristol Palin has returned to rehearsals for “Dancing with the Stars” only one day after the set of the ABC show was evacuated when she received a letter filled with a mysterious white powder.

Palin smiled at cameras and was accompanied by a bodyguard just a day after police evacuated the set after finding a threatening letter addressed to Palin, the New York Daily News reports.

“An envelope containing an unknown substance was delivered to the Dancing with the Stars production office on Friday evening,” the ABC network said, according to the New York Daily News. “Measures were taken to secure the area and ensure the safety of personnel…ultimately we were advised by the LAFD that the substance was determined to be talcum powder.”

Threats and viewer anger had reached an all-time high after the front runners in the competition, Maks and Brandy, were voted off of the show while Palin and her partner, Mark Ballas, advanced to the finals. There were large amounts of requests for ABC to hold a voting recount and a man in Wisconsin reportedly shot his television after seeing Palin perform.

Conrad Green, executive producer of “DWTS," told the New York Daily News that reports of voting fraud were impossible because of strict security measures that have been in place for several seasons.
