NAEMT's 2015 board of directors takes office

The 2015 Board of Directors for the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) took office on Jan. 1.

NAEMT was formed in 1975 and currently has about 50,000 members in its organization. It is the only national association representing all emergency medical services practitioners' professional interests. EMS practitioners include advanced emergency medical technicians, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, emergency medical responders and other health care professionals working in pre-hospital emergency medicine.

Members of NAEMT work within all different areas of emergency medical services, including fire departments, hospital-based ambulance services, government service agencies, private companies, and military, industrial and special-operations settings.

The NAEMT officers include President Conrad “Chuck” Kearns, President-elect Dennis Rowe, Secretary Bruce Evans, Treasurer Scott Matin and Immediate Past President Don Lundy. There are eight board directors representing four regions, two at-large directors and a medical director.

Paul Hinchey will serve as the medical director and Ben Chlapek and Matt Zavadsky will serve as the at-large directors. The Region I directors are Sean Britton and Robert Luckritz, Region II directors are Chad McIntyre and Cory Richter, Region III directors are Aimee Binning and Jason Scheiderer and Region IV directors are Terry David and D. Troy Tuke.
