ATCC Federal Solutions has new vice president

ATCC said Thursday that Joseph Leonelli has been selected to serve as the vice president of ATCC Federal Solutions (AFS).

Leonelli has worked within several segments of federal contracting in areas of research and development. He has previously worked with Raytheon Co., General Dynamics, Battelle, SRI International and Applied Signal Technology. Most recently, Leonelli served as the vice president of national security systems and solutions for Engility, where he managed business units that provided software engineering and other systems to the Department of Justice, the Department of Defense and others in the intelligence community.
Leonelli 's focus at AFS will be on governmental contracts relating to biological defense, emerging infectious diseases, countermeasure development and global health security.
“Our role in delivering superior quality and support for biodefense programs and emerging infections programs for U.S. federal agencies continues to receive recognition from the agencies and partners that we serve,” ATCC President and CEO Raymond Cypess said. “Joe brings deep knowledge and expertise to assess, innovate and grow our solutions to meet the challenging demands of the federal government sector.”

Leonelli holds a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Indiana University. He plays an active role with the Association of the U.S. Army, the Armed Forces Communication Electronics Association, the Advanced Technical Intelligence Association and the National Defense Industrial Association.
