Seminar to follow on July 9

Valneva SE will organize a virtual scientific symposium entitled “Development of new vaccines to prevent infectious diseases at home and abroad”, on July 9, 2021 at 2:15 pm CET during the 31st European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID).

The symposium will be chaired by Professor Thea Colsen Fischer, a Danish epidemiologist and member of the WHO team investigating the origins of SARS-CoV-2, and Catherine Dubichar, Vice President in charge of the Chikungunya Vaccine Program in Valneva.

Adam Finn, Principal Investigator in the COVID-19 Program at Valneva, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Bristol and Chancellor at the Royal Children’s Hospital Bristol, will present phase 1/2 data from VLA2001, the only inactivated vaccine candidate against COVID-19 currently in clinical development in Europe. .

Professor Thomas Jelinek, renowned thought leader and medical director of the Berlin Center for Travel and Tropical Medicine, will also give a presentation on chikungunya and the results of a phase I study of the injectable vaccine candidate. Unique Against Chikungunya, VLA1553, from Valneva.
