Unbelievable but true: There was a time when Elias Mubarak (40 years old) was not a star. This 40-year-old is now one of the most successful actors in Germany and a favorite of film and television viewers.

At the beginning of his new film “Liebesdings”, Elias Mubarak visited BILD’s office in Berlin and gave a big interview to BILD am SONNTAG.

Superstar in movies and in real life

In Love Things, Mubarak plays a huge movie star who hides from tabloids and falls in love with a young stage actress.

“So the advantages far outweigh,” says the “Fack ju Göhte” star. “It’s great to always get a table in a restaurant when people are usually very nice to you when they get to know you. And because you are treated otherwise – unfairly – preferentially.”

On the other hand, the disadvantage is “…to lose a part of your private life,” says Mubarak. “You are mostly seen in public. But I don’t think it’s that bad.”

His solution to a lot of noise: “If I want to have my peace, I go abroad. Nobody knows me there. Everyone thinks of Spain I’m a pool boy or caretaker.

The actor admits that he no longer wants to lose his fame. “Being famous is definitely better than not being famous.”
