FEMA seeking insurance specialist in Massachusetts.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced in a job posting on Tuesday that there is an opening for an insurance specialist at their office in Maynard, Massachusetts.

This position is located at the Region I Recovery Processing Center and will be tasked with the management of public assistance components necessary to carry out federal response to major disasters and other emergencies. This may consist of public field assistance field offices and damage assessment teams.

Typical assignments for this position include the response to correspondence regarding public assistance operations, serving as a point of contact with insurance related matters and will be in communication with disaster recovery, daily program and long-term recovery program operations personnel.

Basic requirements for this position include U.S. citizenship and a successful passing of a background investigation.

This position will require at least one year of working experience with governmental or private organizations equivalent to the GS-11 level of government work. This experience should be specialized in insurance practices and principles, insurance industry processes and handling claims.
