Salahis caught near White House again

The White House apparently remains safe from the party crashing Salahis.

CBS News reports that the couple, who crashed a state dinner last year attended by President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden and raised fears of high-ranking officials of the ease of a possible bioterrorism attack, were pulled over on May 19 by Secret Service agents who saw their limo run a red light near the nation's capital.

Michaele Salahi and Tareq Salahi allegedly tried to enter an off-limits driveway not far from the White House, a source told CBS News.

The limo driver was ticketed for running a red light, CBS News reports.

The network reports that there was no sign that the gate-crashing couple was trying to get into a state dinner that the Obamas were hosting to honor President Felipe Calderon of Mexico.

On Nov. 24, 2009, the Virginia couple made its way into Obama's first state dinner without being on the guest list. The security breach resulted in calls for a Congressional investigation into the lack of security at the White House and raised questions of how secure the president is kept and what steps are being taken to protect him from non-traditional bioweapons, including weapons of bioterrorism.
