The number of virus cases is on the rise, especially in Loser and Aveyron

Hospitalizations due to Covid 19 continue to decline in Occitanie, but infection rates are rising in many departments, notably Aveyron and Lauser. The regional health agency is advocating not to relax in vigilance.

In its latest update, on Tuesday, October 19, 2021,Occitanie Regional Health Agency (ARS) confirms the decrease in the number of hospitalizations in health institutions in the region: 494 hospitalizations, or 22 less than three days ago. Infection rates are also rising in the departments Tarn, Pyrenees-Orientales, Hautes-Pyrenees, Hérault and Arièges, but to a lesser extent.

If these new figures do not directly affect the decrease in the number of hospitalizations in Occitanie, the Regional Health Agency (ARS) is calling not to let our guard down. “This trend invites us collectively to maintain our vigilance and protective reactionsShe wrote in her latest update on the situation.

Now is not the time to let our guard down in the face of a virus that is still active and contagious.
