Bruker delivers detection systems to Kuwait
"The final choice made by the end user in Kuwait, as well as the selection of Bruker Detection products by a major defense systems integrator, enhances our position as a leading supplier of chemical and radiological detection systems,” Bruker Detection Division Defense Business Head Alexander Mueller said. “We are pleased that our technologies will be used in conjunction with these advanced vehicles helping to reduce the challenges arising from asymmetric threats. This Saab system represents a significant example of the trend developing in the CBRN arena, where countries are moving away from stand-alone solutions to fully integrated CBRN systems and vehicles."
The Saab system features mobile detection units from Bruker including the MM2 Mobile Mass Spectrometer, the RAID-S2 Installed Chemical Detectors and RAID M-100 Hand-Held Detectors and other pieces of equipment. Saab provides vehicles to be utilized by military personnel in support of counter chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) activity and operation.
Bruker specializes in developing and manufacturing CBRN detection devices in mobile and handheld forms.
