The Nevada Air National Guard (ANG) seeks an emergency management specialist, according to a job posting released Tuesday.

This position is only open to members currently serving with the Nevada ANG. This position is tasked with assisting in development and coordination of plans and procedures for implementation of emergency management plans and will also review existing emergency management procedures. This person is also tasked with the maintenance of emergency management and response equipment alongside training resources and other supplies.

This position will collaborate with units and agencies on and off base in activities relating to emergency management and planning.

For this position, candidates are required to have experience with unit emergency management; chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) response, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) response and additional programs associated with training and logistics. This position requires that candidates showcase experience of the development and briefing of emergency management plans.

Candidates must also meet military assignment and grade criteria prior to this position’s closing date. Candidates will be required to have completed technical military training, the CBRN responders course and the emergency management apprentice course.

Military requirements include enlistment, a grade of E5 (SSgt) or E6 (TSgt) and a 3E9X1 assignment.
