The Ohio Air National Guard (ANG) announced an opening in the Readiness & Emergency Management Program (R&EM) this past week.

This position is only open to current military personnel of the Ohio National Guard. Applicants are required to have a rank of at least a SSgt or E-5 and cannot be higher than a SMSgt or E-8. It will be based in Springfield, Ohio.

This position manages emergency management and responder capabilities related programs and will take on planning, scheduling and project conduction. This person will also be tasked with evaluating and analyzing emergency management programs for efficacy and efficiency.

This position will act as a technical advisor for committees and panels and to the wing or unit exercise evaluation team chief and its members. This person will be expected to provide training for emergency staff and will prepare contingency response and associated mobility plans in times of war and in disaster situations.

Specialized experience for this position includes: education, training or managerial experience in a related position; development of, and being able to recommend, policy changes; and experience in supervisory activity, in relation to managerial and administrative improvement.
