FEMA seeks emergency management specialist in Puerto Rico
For this position, U.S. citizenship and a background investigation are required. Men born after Dec. 31, 1959, must be registered with the Selective Service.
This position is tasked with making sure that national exercise and training standards are met, that programs are in line with the National Prevention, Mitigation, Response, Recovery Frameworks (NRF) and that the National Incident Management System (NIMS) is implemented.
The chosen person will determine performance gaps and related needs to close these pitfalls. This position will take part in the development of instruction formats and methodologies for training and meet briefing requirements for external partners. Emergency management specialists will also facilitate training delivery as an extension of FEMA training.
This position requires one year of working experience at the GS-07 or GS-09 level of government work or equivalent depending on which level this position will fill — GS-09 or GS-11, respectively. Specialized experience within this work should include monitoring, planning, developing and conducting emergency management preparedness exercises.
