PositiveID Corp. Chairman and CEO William Caragol will be presenting at the LD MICRO 2015 investor conference on Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Caragol’s presentation is set to take place at 9:30 a.m. at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

LD MICRO is a firm that specializes in publishing newsletters related to investments and highlighting undervalued companies in micro-cap arenas. It has been publishing since 2002; each year, the group holds a conference in December featuring a main-event speaker.

PositiveID Corp. is currently focused on the development of their Firefly Dx polymerase chain reaction (PCR) hand held diagnostic device and the Microfluidic Bio-agent Autonomous Networked Detector (M-BAND).

In recent tests, the Firefly has been capable of issuing accurate test results within a 20-minute time frame. PositiveID is pursuing the ability to meet the demand of non-laboratory-based diagnostics in order to serve areas or situations where laboratory testing is unavailable or cumbersome to perform.

The M-BAND system is designed to continuously monitor air samples to detect biological threats in a space. It is capable of providing data in real time to appropriate authorities to serve emergency and response services.
