U.S. Air Force seeking physical scientists

This position is tasked with directing technical forums that evaluate programs relating to nuclear, conventional and advanced weapon threats and the counter-chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (C-CBRN) program. This person will also be expected to take on independent analysis work and will be required to provide recommendations for these programs. This person will direct advanced technologies and system requirement development and will provide evaluations of novel technologies.
This person will also serve as a subject matter expert to USAF and Department of Defense officials in areas relating to nuclear, conventional and C-CBRN technology.
The position can be placed between GS-11 and GS-15 levels of government service. Candidates will need to have advanced knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA) for technical efforts related to program activities, weapon design systems and operations and current and developing technologies. Candidates need to be able to conduct research on highly classified topics and to incorporate advanced technology and concepts with USAF capabilities.
Candidates must have at least one year of work experience at the previous level of government service for each grade level or equivalent in the private sector.
