Cubic Corp. names special operations medical director

Cubic Corp. recently appointed James Sanchez as its special operations medical director for its subsidiary NEK Services.

Within Cubic Global Defense's subsidiary, Sanchez will help facilitate the expansion of its medical training offerings and its medical lifesaver program.

“As a former pararescueman and a long-time respected medical adviser in the military training industry, James knows what is expected of emergency responders in different field conditions and environments,” Jeffrey Keers, deputy general manager of Cubic NEK, said. “James’ strong leadership and extensive background in medical training will be a valuable asset to Cubic’s integrated training for special operations forces, law enforcement and other governmental agencies.”

Sanchez served in the U.S. Air Force for approximately 28 years and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. His focus was primarily on emergency medicine, search and rescue operations, and the planning and execution of counterterrorism activities.

During his military career, Sanchez earned many awards, including: the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Air Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, The National Defense Service and Armed Forces Services medal among others.

Cubic Corp. has two major divisions, Cubic Global Defense and Cubic Transportation Services. Within its global defense division, the company focuses on offering realistic training solutions and support services for U.S. and allied nations military and defense forces.
