South Carolina Emergency Management Division seeks logistics manager
This official would ensure that the state's logistics plan is operational and will manage and support the division's logistical operations. This position will also oversee the implementation of the National Incident Management System statewide and will be expected to assist in the management of the system that manages credentials and badges for emergency personnel.
This position will oversee the division's communication officer and ensure that the division's communication technology and capability is maintained. This individual can expect a normal, 40-hour work week except in emergency situations. A 24-hour on-call schedule will be required in the case of an emergency or disaster situation.
Candidates are required to hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or similar institution, should express their expertise in emergency and crisis management, and provide evidence of their proficiency with theoretical methods of the field. Work experience in an area relating to plan development, training and exercise development and emergency operations is desired.
