Los Angeles County's Department of Children and Family Services is now seeking a Senior Disaster Services Analyst.

This position requires the individual to fulfill the role of a team leader among the staff. This person will provide a wide range of analyses and studies of emergency preparedness and disaster services plans and programs. The hired individual will create, apply, update, and formulate the Department’s plans for service in case of a disaster.

Applicants must have at least three years of experience as a full-time, paid, highly responsible staff or administrative who dealt with solving and investigation programs, organizations, procedures, systems, and planning. Applicants are required to have at least one year of experience involving emergency or disaster services. When filling out the application, the participant must show the amount of experience he or she has in these positions.

Job duties include managing the Department’s activities and responses to disasters, managing information distribution, facilitating staff’s services for clients after a disaster has occurred, providing continual training for staff about emergency evacuations, business recover, disaster preparedness, disaster planning, and shelter care. The chosen individuals will also create area impact maps, lists of possible victims in various disaster areas, develop planning initiatives, identify methods for disaster recovery, partner with other agencies during disaster events, and similar duties.
