Oregon's Columbia County seeks emergency management director

In a recent job listing, Columbia County, Oregon, announced that they are hiring an emergency management director.

This position is responsible for running the county's emergency management department. This includes developing training programs in order to improve community awareness, coordination with local industry and local jurisdiction, in order to implement a multifaceted response plan capable of addressing multiple hazards. This position is also expected to maintain and develop the county-wide emergency management program.
Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in emergency management, public administration, political science or other related fields. Candidates are required to have six years of experience in this field, with at least two years of supervisory work. Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license and be insurable with the county's liability coverage.
