Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority seeks emergency preparedness coordinator
The position will be based out of the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington, Va. The salary range for the position is between $80,608 and $116,882 per year.
If hired, the candidate for the emergency preparedness coordinator position will ensure integration of emergency management plans developed among the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport and the Dulles Toll Road.
Specific duties of the emergency preparedness coordinator include coordination and liaison with local, state and federal agencies, airport tenants and other organizations regarding emergency management activities. They also assist in the coordination, design and evaluation of emergency preparedness training activities.
Other responsibilities of the coordinator include conducting research and presenting reports on preparedness status and activities, as well as on proposed legislation that would affect the MAAA's emergency management plans. The coordinator is also responsible for assessing and analyzing the plans, policies, and capabilities of MAAA emergency management to identify deficiencies.
The emergency preparedness coordinator will also brief local elected officials, visiting officials and others on the MAAA's emergency and disaster programs.
