Near Southwest Preparedness Alliance seeks regional healthcare continuity specialist
If hired, the regional healthcare continuity specialist will develop, coordinate and facilitate regional healthcare training and exercises focusing on healthcare continuity of operations in the event of an emergency. They will also maintain the region's emergency operations plan, appendices, job action sheets and guides to support healthcare facilities in the region.
Frequent travel within the 16-county NSPA region is required, as well as outside of the area.
A bachelor's degree in public health, health care administration, emergency management, nursing or a related field is preferred for the position. An associate's degree and at least two years of experience or training is required.
Computer, radio, telephone and other technical skills are strongly preferred for the specialist position, as well as strong interpersonal, public relations and project management skills.
HSEEP, NDLS instructorship and ICS instructor certifications are all required within one year of hire for the regional healthcare continuity specialist position.
